Beyond the Wilderness

Stepping Into Your Promised Land

This class will take you on a deeper dive into what it means to step into your Promised Land. The Israelites embarked on a 40-year journey that could have taken approximately 11 days, according to Deuteronomy 1:2. Their story teaches us powerful lessons about what happens when we choose fear over faith. But when we truly understand the glorious riches of God’s grace, we can partner with Him in fresh and transformative ways to move forward into all He has promised.

Come discover what it means to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and begin boldly stepping into your Promised Land.

Class 2 - Students will have the choice to select option 1 or option 2 during this 6-week session.

Option 1: 2.18.27 thru 3.25.27

God’s Truth in Today’s Culture and

Facing the Giants in Your Life

A Six-Week Journey of Truth, Grace, Faith, and Victory

Over six weeks, this class will take students on a powerful journey of standing firmly in God’s truth while walking boldly in His grace.

Using the Word of God as our foundation, students will discover how to confidently share and stand for their Christian beliefs without becoming hostile, judgmental, or insulting toward others. We will explore what it means to hold God’s standards high while keeping His grace deep—loving others as Jesus did, even when we disagree with the culture around us. Through biblical insight and practical application, students will be encouraged to navigate today’s cultural challenges with wisdom, courage, compassion, and unwavering faith.

Students will learn how to identify the adversaries and strongholds that may have diminished their ability to live the full and abundant life God intended—whether rooted in rejection, fear, anger, comfort, addiction, or other patterns that keep them bound. When we lose sight of God’s promises, we can become demoralized and defeated, settling for far less than His best. But God has a better plan—a plan for His people to live in victory and freedom. The key to defeating our giants isn’t becoming better at wielding the slingshot; it’s keeping our eyes fixed on the One and Only Giant Slayer: Jesus.

Students will be challenged to stand for truth, walk in grace, confront their giants, and keep their eyes firmly fixed on Jesus.

Becoming the Change

As children of God, we are called to live beyond ourselves, to add value to the lives of others, and to make a meaningful difference wherever God has placed us. This class will challenge and encourage you to look beyond what you wish would change and begin recognizing the needs around you as opportunities to make an impact. You will discover practical ways to respond, take action, and become part of the solution.

If you desire a better community, stronger and more connected families, and people who work together for the good of everyone, you can help build that kind of environment. Change begins when we are willing to become the change that we want to see. Come discover how your obedience, compassion, and willingness to serve can make a difference, and learn how to start making an impact today.

The Beginning of Wisdom

Proverbs 9:10 declares, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding.”

A.W. Tozer wrote, “When men no longer fear God, they transgress His laws without hesitation. The fear of consequences is no deterrent when the fear of God is gone.”

Our culture has largely lost its reverence for God, and with that loss has come a diminished understanding of His holiness, authority, and majesty. When we recognize that the Lord holds the universe in His hands, we begin to see Him for who He truly is—holy, sovereign, and worthy of our deepest awe and reverence.

But what does it truly mean to fear the Lord?

Holy fear is not being afraid of God or withdrawing from Him. Rather, it is a deep reverence that draws us closer to Him. It is not simply a fear of His judgment or the consequences of sin; it is a profound awareness that we never want to live separated from His presence.

In The Beginning of Wisdom, you will discover that the holy fear of God is not something to avoid, but a gift from the Holy Spirit that should be intentionally sought after. As we cultivate a reverential fear of the Lord, we gain wisdom, grow in understanding, and develop a deeper awareness of His holiness and His presence in our lives.

Come discover why Scripture calls the fear of the Lord the beginning of wisdom—and how holy fear can transform the way we know, honor, and walk with God.
